Baking Soda to soften my skin....I'll Pass

My mother always pours baking soda down the drain after running the diswasher to freshen it and keep the pipes clar, so it wont smell like all the food that was cooked that week.I have adopted that and it definately works.

What I'm disturbed about is the fact that you can use baking soda for way too many other purposes that I'm just not comfortable with. Like the fact that it puts out fires, but I'm supposed to use it on my teeth. Or the fact that it removes grout from tile, but your supposed to be able to mix it in your babies bath to easediaper rash irritation, then add to cooking vegies to keep them crisp...Hmmmmmmm No.

Not to mention it can be used for scalding a chicken and also to soothe sunburns.Oh and who can forget, to make CRACK!

I'm game for multi-purpose items, more bang for the buck. But uhhh...I'll stick to pouring baking soda down my drains, although with these rising gas prices, I might need to take up the manufacturing of crack cocaine...you know..to keep afloat in this recessive economy, that George Bush says is not recessive, although my pocket indicate otherwise.

I use my baking soda for cleaning the inside of my stainless steel pots and sink, and to make crack. Works really good for both. I guess it would soften your skin as an exfoliant, makes sense..
