RAP. Why that? I was born RAP. Literally. It wasn't a name given to me by my parents in attempt to alter my future. Destiny bore me RAP. With all sincerity I have way too much adoration for the art than to wage blasphemy and think that I am as cleverly complex as the art form that inspires me. RAP is passed to me from my ancestors, since before break dancing and records.
My personification? Its the name my dad introduced himself to my mother with in 1978. The name on his 3 finger ring as he spun records in the park in Jamaica NY as DJ RAP. It just so happens that were lucky enough to share it with one of the most diverse musical genres to date.
I simply take it a step further. Rarities Are Possible. Rare because of my layers. Some intricate, others armor like. After years of attempting to figure out who I was in a world that says you must know this to be sane. I realize that I am just me. No exact definitions or classifications. And I'm comfortable with that. I Love that. RAP. A rarity in the simplest definition that I can think of at the moment. A raging hunger for culture. A fascination with colors. A mistress of music possesing a passion for life. And if I were to die today. My tomb could sum up my existence with RAP. Rarities Are Possible.
